To teachers and students of Mathematics, have you heard of Euclidean Reality software? It’s a neat way of creating geometric 2-dimensional shapes.  Pupils can create their own 2-D shapes of their own length and angles.

I’ve tried it on a Primary 5 child. It worked quite well and she was able to produce a frame with a picture on it! Check it out Euclidean Geometry!

Before we any further, let find out about the inventor of Mind Mapping, Mr Tony Buzan, click here to know more about him.  Mind mapping is a great technique for the teaching and learning of Mathematics.

This is the research I’m going to study Chapter 1.  You are welcome to comment as this is not yet finalised.

Sugar Alert!

Assalamualaikum & Greetings,

Healthy Diet!  That is what is being promoted today..  It’s the food that is the growing concern..  The food we eat today lead us to a series of illnesses..

Hello Maths Lovers!

Assalamualaikum and Greetings..

This blog is dedicated at improving Mathematics Education at primary school levels in Negara Brunei Darussalam.  You are most welcome to give constructive comments and ideas..

Word problem has always been difficult for our primary pupils in Brunei. The new curriculum has added mathematical thinking and problem solving in every upper primary topic.

Young children’s behaviour often improves markedly during their primary school years if they do well in English at age 7, new research suggests. Researchers who tracked more than 2,000 children between the ages of 8 and 10 found that those who had made a good start in English became much less likely to get involved in antisocial activities such as bullying. Pupils who were good at maths at age 7 but struggled with English showed fewer improvements in behaviour during their junior school years. Well, :’( I’ve known that for years.. So, we need to improve the children’s language.. :) .  Hence the introduction to Mind Mapping in enhancing the learning of Mathematics in primary schools in Brunei Darussalam.
